I foster effective communication channels between the department and leadership, serving as a bridge to ensure cohesive collaboration. I also see myself as a problem-solver, my goal is to ensure a harmonious and inspiring work environment for my people, and I actively engage in resolving challenges that may hinder our work.
I led initiatives in the field of equal treatment, overseeing key projects such as legislation on equal treatment, implementing accessibility directive, and leading the field of diversity and inclusion. My role involved driving and managing diversity initiatives, conducting equal treatment campaigns, serving as a spokesperson in the field, contributing to wider human rights initiatives, and collaborating with various stakeholders and policymakers both domestically and internationally.
My responsibilities included participating in policy formulation processes, particularly focusing and leading social issues, and drafting Estonia's positions on various legislative initiatives. I represented the interests of Estonia in ministerial delegations, engaging in diplomatic negotiations and advocating for the country's stance on various social policy matters.
One of my key responsibilities was steering efforts to reduce the gender pay gap, involving collaboration with diverse stakeholders, policy makers, and businesses. This included fostering dialogue, implementing strategies, and ensuring a coordinated approach towards achieving gender equality objectives. Additionally, I participated in the preparation and execution of Estonia's EU presidency, overseeing negotiations on gender equality issues. My role encompassed a comprehensive approach to advancing gender equality policies, combining legislative initiatives with advocacy and strategic negotiation skills on both national and international levels.
I organized and conducted training sessions to promote gender equality, including gender mainstreaming. I also contributed to the development of policies integrating gender perspectives into various policy initiatives.
