Key Responsibilities:

Data Strategy and Governance :

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the bank's business objectives.
• Define and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
• Establish data ownership and stewardship practices.

Data Quality and Compliance :

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through data quality initiatives and data profiling.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry-specific data requirements (e.g., BCBS239).

Data Analytics and Insights :

• Establish analytics teams to extract valuable insights from data and enable data-driven decision-making.
• Promote the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics models for risk management, customer segmentation, and product development.

Data Integration and ETL :

• Oversee the development and management of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for integrating data from various sources.
• Ensure that data is easily accessible and available for reporting and analysis.

Data Collaboration :

• Foster a culture of data collaboration across departments by promoting data sharing and cross-functional data projects.
• Enable self-service data access and reporting for business units.

Performance Metrics and Reporting :

• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data quality, governance, and utilization.
• Regularly report to the executive team and the board of directors on the bank's data initiatives and progress.

Regulatory Compliance :

• Stay updated on banking regulations and regulatory reporting requirements, including Basel III and other relevant regulations.
• Ensure that the bank's IT systems comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.

IT Systems Management :

• Oversee the bank's IT systems used for regulatory reporting, including data collection, transformation, validation, and submission.
• Ensure that IT systems are robust, well-maintained, and capable of generating accurate regulatory reports.

Team Leadership :

• Manage a team of IT professionals responsible for regulatory reporting systems, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Risk Management :

• Identify and mitigate potential IT and operational risks related to regulatory reporting.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for regulatory reporting systems.

Vendor and Technology Partnerships :

• Manage relationships with IT vendors and technology partners involved in regulatory reporting systems.
• Evaluate and select IT solutions that align with regulatory compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Communication :

• Effectively communicate with senior management, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders regarding regulatory reporting status, issues, and updates

Programme: Core Consolidation Reporting - Carve-out, new data flows, Regulatory Reporting, Migration.

• The programme was delivered within the Luminor New Bank/Transformation Programme scope to ensure accurate Regulatory Reporting after care-out from ex-mother banks (DNB and Nordea).
