The focus of my project is to identify the interactors of Chikungunya virus Capsid protein in human and insect cells.
- Independently carried out experiments such as PCR, qPCR, DNA cloning, Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation, siRNAs gene silencing, and DNA transfections among others.
- Gained extensive experience in BSL1 and BSL2 facilities. Including working with eukaryotic cell culture, generation of stable cell lines, as well as handling virus work.
- Gathered data from various sources, including online databases, and libraries.
- Interpreted results from experiments and surveys to generate meaningful conclusions.
- Gained experience in handling and analyzing large amounts of data

- Preformed DNA cloning utilizing following techniques: Restriction cutting, Ligation reaction, Bacterial Transformation, Purification of DNA, PCR
- Gained experience in the BSL1 laboratory: worked with mammalian and mosquito cell culture, DNA transfections, trans-replication assay.
