Gerta Sarv

Over the course of three years, I have been working closely with several product teams in the mobility company Arrive, building scalable and reliable solutions for over 100 million clients in both the European and US markets.

Some highlights:

• Grew a team of four engineers into eleven. Executed a successful team split afterward, with clear ownership, team mission, and goals established.
• Together with the team, we successfully migrated over 1,000 U.S. suppliers' tariff policy configurations to one platform (a project which was deemed impossible).
• During 2.5 years, the tariff team delivered 100% availability of our services, with endpoints receiving over 1 billion requests on a yearly basis.
• Coached two senior engineers into tech lead positions.
• Constantly improving our ways of working and agile processes in the team, which resulted in the team being known as a 'delivery machine gun.'
• Cultivated trust, collaboration, ownership, and client-centricity in the team, which shaped a cohesive, high-performing, and happy team.

• I worked as a project manager for the risks and payments team.
• Communicated regularly with stakeholders about project objectives, scope changes, timeline updates, resource allocation adjustments.
• Performed as Scrum Master, and continuously coached the Agile Way of Working in the team.
• Together with the product manager, I managed the team roadmap weekly.
• Built and established strong partnerships with clients.

Founded Graspic in 2018 with a mission to protect children's privacy. Graspic is a secure and private mobile app aimed at parents to help them capture, save, and store their children's first-time memories and growth milestones in one place.

Main highlights:

• Acquired valuable knowledge in strategic planning, stakeholder relationship management, sales, public speaking, marketing, and finance.
• Launched an engineering team from zero to five people. Acted as product manager, engineering manager, and Scrum Master in the team, with the main focus on product development.
• I participated in and completed several incubators (Ajujaht, Storytek, Tehnopol).
• Ajujaht TOP 30 alumni with our idea.
• Attracted over 1,000 product users in a very competitive landscape of social media.

Organized international science conferences and business events in Estonia, mainly for state institutions and different professional associations.

Main achievements:

• In 2017, I was the technical project manager for the Teeviit project. It resulted in 6,200 visitors participating in the fair.
• The 2017 EU Contest for Young Scientists was a high-profile, five-day international conference, along with a reward gala and other social events.
• In summary, I organized numerous seamless scientific conferences and social events for thousands of international participants.
