MelScience Estonia OÜ is an international company, specializing in the production of educational kits for children in physics, chemistry and other sciences. In 2018, It was decided to expand the business to Estonia, Narva. I started a new production unit from the very beginning, having established all the necessary processes such as recruitment, smooth workflow in the workshop and establishing the procurement process and stock management.
My duties included:
• Production process planning and managing;
• Stock managing (including finding suppliers, purchases, control of incoming goods, analysis of needs);
• Budgeting and control;
• Analyzing and control of financial figures;
• HR, recruiting, development;
• Wage system building;
• Assuring correct quality through all production processes;
• Making sure the plant unit is operating in accordance with rules and laws.
Nevotex Narva OÜ is the part on the international company Nevotex AB. It is a production company, which produces covers and furniture from leather, PVC and fabrics. I started my career as a manager assistant, then I worked as an economist and in 2010 I became a plant director. There were 53 employees in my subordination, and 7 in direct subordination. As plant director I was responsible for planning operation on long as well as short term in accordance with orders and budget and for budget implementation.

During my work at Nexotex Narva OÜ, the company was actively developing: We switched from manual cutting to machine cutting, which led to lower personnel costs and less wastes, and enabled better better quality of our products. This process required finding the needed machine supplier, training of employees, the creation of a new wage system and regulatory indicators.
New customer relations were developed and quantity of orders increased. More, than double increased the production of finished products at the assembling department (sofas, armchairs). This required an expansion of the warehouse by 500 m2, a revision of the requirements for inventory and storage systems, finding new suppliers. ERP system (Navision) was updated, fully moved to the new base and new features installed. A work scanning system was implemented, which enabled to track all the movements of our orders in the workshop.
