Practical Training where I had the chance to use my experience to independently work on cars. From the car coming in to the shop to taking the necessary parts off and working thru the stages to get the car ready for paint. Where I myself was able to once again paint cars myself very often.

A new experience for me here was working on rims, sanding them, aplling slight putty, primeing and painting.

I enjoyed working with the primary talking language being english.

I worked at Busland in the frame work of practical training. In many ways similar to any car painting job. Yet the work surfaces were far bigger. This experience made me work faster with taping and covering of areas that didn't need to get painted, like windows and door gaskets. As well as working with bigger and smoother surfaces of bodyfiller repairs.

Here I got more experience working with Single-Stage Paint, Rather than the usual Basecoat Clear Coat paint. As well as working with fiberglass for bumper repairs.

My first experience with the job was at my vocational school, where I studied to become a car painter for 3 years. I was thought the basics of fixing bodywork with body filler, working with different types of primer. The importance of using correct sandpaper grits at each step. As well as fixing plastic like a cracked bumper.

For paint itself, selecting the correct paints to fit the repair, with both a scanner and by example color sheets. Painting new parts, used parts and fading bodypanels that are next to each other to leave a seamless result.

First practical training for a preprofessional car painting service. Most of my job consisted of getting to work on a body panel or several to the point where the part or car itself would be ready for paint. Meaning I had to clean, tape and cover the vehicle, sand, remove rust, fix the bodywork with filler, prime the surface and sand the primer smooth.

I also had the chance to practice my skills in polishing. Removing small imperfections from the clear coat.
