Responsibilities: to substitute the mayor at his absence, to co-ordinate and organise cooperation with foreign partners, supervise municipality involvement in cross-border cooperation projects, attract structural and other funds. A JMC member of Estonia-Latvia programme.

- Administration and management of University of Latvia Valka branch;
- elaboration and implementation of different projects educational co-operation projects,
- coordination of study programmes in Valka, lecturing.
Achievements:
- Development of project "International Study Centre in Valka" in co-operation with universities from Latvia and Estonia, Valga Town in EE.
- Possibility of higher education studies in remote area for local inhabitants

• Overall management of the JTS tasks, including:
- division of tasks for the international JTS staff,
- preparation of procedures, guiding documents, chairing of transnational meetings,
- ensuring projects selection, implementation and monitoring
- organizing of training, seminars, annual events for the stakeholders, net-working and publicity activities,
- supervision of development and implementation of annual work plan, budget and reports,
- cooperation with the programme authorities, stakeholders, representation of programme at different events, communication and coordination
During the Estonian EU external programme implementation period there were ensured 6 Calls for proposals and 4 Large Infrastructure projects, altogether supervised 71 projects under thematic objectives: business support and development, environmental protections, people to people and improvement of local governance actions.

• Main task: ENPI Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme implementation, which includeed:
  - to contribute to the establishment of necessary legal framework,
  - to establish and maintain efficient information exchange mechanism between JTS and Programme management as well as National Authorities in Estonia, Latvia and Russia,
  - to contribute to the preparations of reports and information about programme,
  - to supervise the implementation of projects,
  - to organize seminars for applicants and beneficiaries,
  - to ensure programme's visibility and publicity
  - to organise and chair transnational meetings,
  - etc.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Management and administration of the municipality work, including town administrations, monthly council meetings; strategic planning of municipality development, cooperation with twin town Valga, etc.

Award of honour:
Cabinet of Ministers, Latvia. 16.09.2006 Diploma of honour for the contribution in development of Valka town culture life.

• Main duties: to organize study courses, seminars, summer schools, info days in different fields according to the regional demand; to elaborate and implement projects in field of education, civil society involvement; to co-operate with the institutions involved in the field of adult education; to promote the collaboration with Valga County (EST), Valga Town, Tartu University, etc.

- project "Educated Voter - Town Development Promoter" got EC European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights Micro-project Grant
